When I was 7 years old, I finally learned how to ride a bike after days of failed attempts. It is my earliest memory of what accomplishment feels like when you persevere and don’t give up.

Who is your female role model and why?

My mom. She is strong, hard-working, independent, and always encourages me to try my best. Her success lies in her ability to give her family unconditional love and care regardless of the circumstance.

Favourite Miss Chinese Vancouver and why?

Linda Chung. She was the first Miss Chinese Vancouver to leave a memorable impression on me when I first started watching the Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant at age 8 and I watched her grow into a successful actress and singer.

What is the most beautiful object or incident in the world? Please provide a detailed account.

Apricity – the warmth of the sun in the winter.

I hope to gain new experiences, challenge myself to step outside of my comfort zone, and enjoy the process.

Besides beauty and intelligence/wisdom, what other characteristic do you think a Miss Chinese Vancouver should have?

What areas do you want to better yourself?

I want to improve on my Cantonese and be able to speak Mandarin fluently.

Reasons for joining the Pageant

To fulfill one of my childhood dreams, challenge myself, and encourage others to not be afraid to step outside of their comfort zone.

Why do you think you will excel at this Pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver?

I believe my perseverance to continually better myself and help others will help me excel at this pageant.

If you won this contest, how, as Miss Chinese Vancouver, would you contribute to the society and the world?

I would participate in more charity work while encouraging others to help those in need because we all have the ability to help others as long as we are willing to put in the time and effort.
