Vancouver. This is my home town and I want to start making a difference in my local community. From there I want to expand internationally to help underprivileged children gain the opportunity for higher education and equality.
The most memorable moment
My team and I trained for months to get ready for Dragon Boat Festival 2015. Weeks of hard work, hours of sweat and practice all led up to 2 intensive minutes of racing. Our determination and strength in team work allowed us to stay focused and perform at our best.

Who is your female role model and why?
Michelle Obama. She launched “Let Girls Learn” to support women’s rights, gender equality, and education. She also empowers girls and women to become leaders that live life to their fullest potential. Her platform has allowed her to stand strong while delivering her message and I aspire to do the same.
Favourite Miss Chinese Vancouver and why?
Eliza Sam. It was very impressive how she used French in the Q and A segment of the show. This made me realize the importance of learning new languages to expand my level of communication with diverse cultural individuals.
What is the most beautiful object or incident in the world?
A pencil. When I was young, I love collecting pencils. It allows me to write words, draw pictures, and anything possible that I could think of. It portrayed my creativity and dreams that I had inside of me. It helped me gain knowledge and an education throughout my days in school. I believe this simple object is the most beautiful.
Which body parts are you most satisfied with?
My mole. I actually call it my beauty mark because it makes me feel unique and different.
Do you have any expectations towards the Pageant?
I hope to grow as an individual, to embrace my femininity, and to inspire others to follow their dreams.
If you were to ask the MC a question at the Final, what would you ask?
Which celebrity would you rate as a perfect 10? Why?
What areas do you want to better yourself?
I tend to use my cell phone a lot more than usual as technology plays such a big impact on us today. Therefore, my posture may lack at times. Hence, I will focus on having good posture to display my full confidence.
Reasons for joining the Pageant
Ever since a young age, I would watch Miss Chinese Vancouver contestants walk across the stage fearlessly showing off their intelligence, talents, personality, and beauty. I grew up wanting to embody that grace and this year I found the confidence to do so. Through my own experience, I hope to inspire other young women to challenge themselves and push their limits.
Why do you think you will excel at this Pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver?
I am an individual who has an outgoing and positive attitude. I believe that it is important to have these characteristics as Miss Chinese Vancouver. To always be positive under any kind of circumstances. Furthermore, I always believe in myself 100%, no matter how challenging the journey may be.
If you won this contest, how, as Miss Chinese Vancouver, would you contribute to the society and the world?
The younger generation is our future. I would love to be able to provide children in this world with education, by building schools in rural cities. As a result, we can all share our knowledge amongst each other. I hope to inspire future generations to follow their own dreams and passions.
